Working on a few warmoth jazz bass neck builds. Have tried a few variations to set up the neck with some fret issues around the 14 frets and above. Pockets in the body of these is uniform depth and have tried some shimming at the area nearest the bridge . ( IE trying to get some neck tilt) . Question I have is the shim required on these necks from what others have found. I know many fender style necks don't use a shim. I have my relief set up well from what I have tried on other basses. Any input would be greatly appreciated...
