First Build - P Bass Pickup Question

Hey y’all,

First time poster long time considerer here...

I’m in the market for a p bass and this time I don’t want just any old off the display wall model...I want to build my own!

I have zero luthier skills but with warmoth bodies/necks, it seems fairly plug n’ play.  My heart is set on Aguilar’s 60’s Precision pick ups.  My question: with the neck pickup split coil routing option be compatible with these pick ups? Additionally - I’d prefer to run without a pick guard and rear routing and mount the electronics.  Doable?

Welcome to the forum!

While I can't say 100% since I've never used that particular pickup,  I don't see any reason why it shouldn't be just fine. I've googled it and saw people talking about it a an upgrade for an MIM fender, always a good sign, since it's the same rout.

Building your own is such a satisfying experience. I highly recommend it.
