I'd say it's a nice match. GO for it!  I have a canary/ebony neck on my tele with P90's and it's just the bee's knees.  I love it.

Ok so just an update, the canary/ebony neck is on its way and i think im gonna go for the cs 69's in the neck and middle and an ssl 5 in the bridge. I found a really great deal on some sperzel trim-lok chrome tuners but that means that the rest of the hardware is going to be chrome, except for the knobs, im planning to put sadowsky black knobs on it. How do you guys think chrome would go with the body vs gold?

Chrome goes with anything and it wears well. But, I'd be consistent about it. If the bridge and tuners are chrome, then use chrome knobs. Otherwise, it's like wearing brown shoes with a black belt. Somebody's gonna notice and wonder about your fashion sense/coordination skills <grin>

For me, different knobs are not necessarily a problem, especially if they are black. In any case, you can replace them later if they look wrong.

Chrome hardware will be great on this build, that's what I would have chosen in the first place instead of gold or black.

Most Strats have chrome hardware and black or white knobs - looks fine because the knobs usually match something else (pickups, pickguard etc).
