Finished: Carved Top Tele and Flamed Maple Neck

I finally got a neck plate so I could bolt the 2 together. Can't wait to finish this!

Yup, it's carved top - gonna stain it black with either natural masked binding and satin nitro or just completely black with a wax finish - can't decide

Well I've finally had this finished by Andy at Guyton Guitars (http://www.guytonguitars.com) and it looks amazing, my crappy camera pictures really don't do it justice

Black grain filler
Red stain
Masked binding
Black nitro back
Very slight black burst over (this really brings it together)
Gloss nitro all over

Can't wait to put this all together over the next few weeks!

I'll take some outdoor pictures tomorrow afternoon, my camera is pretty shit in low light

Annoyingly I snapped my drill bit when drilling the threads for the floyd nut screws (top mount) - I should be able to get the snapped part out with some small tweezers, but still... very annoying!

I'll be putting a SD Custom-5 (bridge) and SD '59 (neck) in for now until I get the BK's, probably in the new year
