Favorite mixed drink

I tried something that was pretty interesting last week. It's called a "skittle". It basically just a shot worth of Cointreau, topped up with Red Bull Energy drink. Surprisingly tastes a lot like skittles.

It certainly is... I normally stay away from those energy/alcoholic mixes. They are usually a recipe for disaster.

one time a friend came over and we drank red bull and vodka, after about 7 drinks I wanted to go to bed and pass out, but I could not, I was wired for hours, Never again, I want to be able to sleep when I am finished getting hammered.

I recently read something about one of the federal agencies wanting to make it illegal to mix caffeine in beer. They had some half-assed excuse for wanting to do it, like the lib's favorite for everything - "think of the children!" - but I suspect the real motivation was just that: they don't want drunks casting about looking for something to do because they can't sleep. Bloody nanny state.

There is a mixture of a certain energy drink and alcohol that can send people off the head real quick like a Cocaine buzz (usually it's vodka & one of the drinks)...I don't know what the mix is but there was some incidences involving professional sports people who got so wired they started doing crazy things and getting themselves into serious trouble. As these pro sportspeople are subject to drug testing, they steer clear (most of the time) of illegal sunstances but word got around that this particular mixture had about the same effect as cocaine, so party people started trying it out. :doh:

Have to consider the source there: The Onion. It's a parody humor site. But, there may be some nugget of truth there. I know myself, I get the most exercise while smoking. Can't do it indoors, so there's a certain amount of getting dressed, going out, negotiating stairs, etc.
