Doesn’t warmoth sell the correct square plate for the tele body?

I see that one has been linked to by Spud. I have not personally used it on a Tele body but that would be in all likelihood not good on a Strat and I was mentioning both. Strats and teles are not equivalent but often folks make assumptions which is why I mention both.

A square plate of that type can often be too deep for a tele or strat body thickness. Of course if a square plate can be found that dimensionally works it is an option.

An oval "football" style will work on most types of bodies.

A Les Paul dimensioned square plate is too big for either.
