Well, I've been away traveling for business for just over a month. I got the parts just before I had to leave so I rushed through it a bit and didn't get many pictures, but here it is anyway.

I had this nice Ebony on Wenge neck and thought it might look good on an LP body.

Then this popped up in the showcase.

They seemed to go together pretty well!

And, I had a pair of BK Aftermaths that had a gold tint look to the covers, and a bunch of Ivory parts, so here is what I came up with.

Let me know what you think.  :guitarplayer2:

Nice one Ddbltrbl  :icon_thumright:

Love that Neck and Body  :o  .... not sure on the knobs.  :dontknow:
Not sure about the gold bits either ....
(Hey ... but that's looking at it on my screen) .... not in the flesh.

But ... I gotta say, in those last 2 pic's everything looks great together !!

Are those the Tgyer covers on the BK's ?
I got a set coming in the mail. Emerald (N) and a Crawler (B)

Darn that's a lovely neck  :icon_thumright:

Tuxedo Forum! LOL  :toothy12:

So, I'm not real comfortable with the Ivoroid knobs either. They're just too white. But, If I could yellow them up a bit, I think they would look OK. I may just switch to a set of gold speed knobs. :dontknow:

Yes Updown, the PU covers are nickel Tygers. I bought them 2nd hand on the internet at a great price, but was really surprized by how gold colored they are. That's part of the reason I went gold on this, but they just don't quite work with the other gold components. But, the sound is awesome! I was expecting them to be really hot, which they are, but the tone and seperation are both outstanding as well.  :occasion14:

Forgot to mention I made the Truss Rod cover as well, something I've never tried before. I was rushing to get this done before my trip, so I came pretty close to screwing it up at one point, but it worked out just right.

Thanks for the comments! :guitarplayer2:

OH Crap    :icon_scratch:  ....  OH Bugger  ..... :tard: ..... I didn't want Gold   I was hopping / thinking they were chrome / nickel covers.
They look chrome or brushed in your pic's. Plus the ones I've seen on BK site / forum.

2nd last pic look chrome
Where the last pic looks gold

Come to think of it, they might just blend in  :dontknow: ....
Have to wait and see.

I agree with some of the hardware comments, but then I'm not generally a fan of gold hardware to start with.  I actually kind of like the knobs but they do look a little light for the binding.  Regardless, that's a great looking guitar.

I disagree with the gold hardware haters - it's beautiful!  :headbang:

I do agree with the assessment of the white knobs, though; with the creme pickup rings & binding, and the hardware, it justn't look quite right.  Creme knobs that match the rings would be perfect.

I agree with this fully. Especially the part about the gold hardware, that stuff is bitchin :glasses9:
