We had a 6.6 quake right here where I live a few months back. Man, I've been over here going on 20 years now and have felt quite a few small quakes, a 6.6 though, at 5 in the morning, is not a nice way to wake up. Funny thing is that I usually put my guitar on a stand. The night before, I was playing my cherryburst strat and instead of putting it on the stand, before I went to bed, I just leaned it up against my desk. I have a CD rack on the other side of my desk and if that rack hadn't been there my guitar would have taken a spill. Luckily, it slipped about 6 inches and wedged between the desk and the cd rack. Of course all of the CD's balanced on top of the rack were on the floor. We didn't get much damage but man, a big quake really sucks. I'd rather be back home in Cincinnati worrying about tornadoes. At least you have warning.
