Earth wire to Tele Bridges.

OK could someone please tell me if this is the correct way to do this.  :dontknow:
(New to Tele's)
I have 2 Tele builds in process.
One using the Gotoh Tele Humbucker Bridge, the other a Vintage Strat Flat Mount Bridge.

I presume the best way to get a good Earth connection, is to Sand or Dremel (my favourite tool) the back of the Bridge mounts.
So you get a good contact point for the Earth wire !!

Then just use some copper tape, 1st piece of copper tape on the body under where the bridge will be,
then place the bare earth wire onto that.
Followed by another piece of copper tape to hold wire in place.

Then screw the bridge down.

Is this the best way ?
Or any other great tips you might have …. please do share !!

Many thanks … Updown  :icon_biggrin:

If you aren't planning on removing your bridge, the lazy way will work just fine.
Just put a bare wire under the bridge, put a wire on the wood, screw the bridge down on top of the wire.

Or to be thorough, your way would work too.

This is how I do bridges. Any other way just seems ridiculous and unreliable. :dontknow:
You might prefer a larger surface area, to ensure good continuity. Don't be worried about capacitance, as long as you maintain a low impedance path from bridge to ground potential, you won't see any.
