Found a few old threads asking if it's possible.
I was wondering myself about it in case I end up ordering a wenge neck with ebony fingerboard. Wenge can sometimes be much lighter colored than ebony and I prefer a matching headstock and fingerboard.

Since I happened to have some scrap pieces here's what I started with:

That's actually pretty light colored for wenge. After applying TransTint black dye straight out of the bottle:

And wiping the excess with denatured alcohol to see see how well it dyed the wood (and give it a more 'natural' look/color):

That'd work for me as far as look is concerned.
Of course I would not do that on an area with hand/finger contact. That would require sealing the wood to prevent dye rubbing off, which defeats the advantage of a wenge neck (smooth unfinished feel).

Any chance of re uploading the pictures? Just got a wenge neck from warmoth that looks nothing like wenge it's super light in colour even with oil applied
The original poster has not been on the forum for many years now. I would suggest opening another thread in the DIY finishing sub forum, with some pictures of your neck and asking for help advice on what you are looking for.
