Dug Pinnick Pedal, may need to add this to the studio arsenal!

The guy has always amazed me at how much he can multi-task and still make it look casual. Kinda makes you feel small. Guy's up there playing several instruments at once while he's singing and dancing and keeping time to tunes that have 18 different time signatures in 7 different keys. I think he made a deal wit de debbil  :laughing7:

Nothing to add to the thread really other than I had heard of Kings X, but couldn't have told you the names of the members.

Dug and that dude from Gwar...the two most low down, nasty, filthy, bowel shaking, and utterly amazing bass tones you'll ever hear in a rock band.

Don't forget Geddy Lee. He's no slouch on bass, either. Very nice tones, and fills a lotta space... Oh, and don't forget about Dusty Hill - another larger-than-life bass player in a 3 piece band.

Remember that one time when a guy asked Lemmy to explain what made his bass tone different from "the other guys"?

"Gretchen Goes to Nebraska"... one of my all-time fav albums ever! Ty Tabor had amazing tone on "Gretchen" and "King's X"... best ever. Very thick, but you could hear every nuance of the complex chording he used at the same time. Remarkably musical 3-piece...

Preach it. I bet Tabor put SS amps and Lace Sensor pickups on the map for a lot of guitarists, too. That guy’s tone and phrasing are amazing.

Love it! When he was still around, I lived a block away from his place off Sunset. I never met him, though. The locals said he had a reserved seat at bar in the Rainbow on sunset and you could always find him there drinking whiskey when he was in town. He was supposedly a humble cat.
