Do Schaller 475 Holes Line Up w/String Through Hardtail

I was on the shop in stock section checking out some bodies and noticed that it looks like the the 475 holes line up with a standard fender hard tail bridge.  Digging around the internet didn't seem to answer the question and so here it is?

Can you install a Schaller 475 using the existing holes in your tele or la cab?

I did a quick super-impose to show a 475 next to a standard route.

The mounting holes will line up, but the saddles of the 475 will be forward by about 3/4", which is well out of the range of adjustment to achieve intonation. Won't work "as is".

That said, it's only three pilot holes and the 475 will cover the existing holes, so if you're interested in the 475 why not just drill new mounting holes? No tricky procedures or special tools are necessary.

Thanks for the info.  I'm fine drilling new holes.  I was just wondering if it was straight drop and go kind of thing.  Now I know.
