desert island gear

You are going to a desert island.  You can take one guitar, one amp, and one small pedal.  (Strings, electricity, replacement tubes, repairs, etc are not a problem, thanks to magical roadie gnomes that live on the island.)  What do you take?

I'd take my Warmoth LP, an Orange Thunderverb 200 with an Orange 4x12, and a Boss RC-2.

As far as a pedal, I guess I'd grab my Kendrick reverb.

Ok, are we talking one guitar one amp and one pedal that we already own, or are we off to dream world?  For the guitar it does not matter, I would take my Warmoth thinline tele regardless.  For the amp, well I only own two, and I would go with my 66 Fender Bassman, but hopefully I could take it to the tech before I go away.  If I'm in dream world I would probably take a Marshall JTM 45.  Pedal wise, a Fulltone OCD would complete the picture, but again that's dreamworld, I don't have one, so if I had to chose one I already have, I would take my Big Muff.

For a guitar, I'd say the Warmoth V (Gibson Style with Warmoth Headstock) that's being bought piece by piece right now...  Amp would have to be something clean, like a Fender Twin Reverb or Vox AC or something like that.  For a pedal, I'd go with the Freakshow Effects Brown Rabbit.

Count another vote for a Marshall JTM45 and Fulltone OCD.  ccasion14:

I'd bring my modded-to-60's-spec JTM45RI, Fulltone OCD, Avatar 1X12 cab with Celestion Gold... and use my in-the-works Warmoth Candy Purple strat (haven't received it yet) with all-Callaham hardware and Callaham/Fralin H/SRV pickups.

I'd probably go with my Warmoth Strat, a Laney Lionheart 20w head and 2x12" cabinet, and as for a pedal it would probably have to be  a Boss DD20.

I'd take Jimi Hendrix's strat (after I'd my hands chopped off, and Jeff Beck's hands grafted on to my arms - obviously), Eddie Van Halen's modded Marshall, and Billy Gibbon's Bixonic Expandora fuzz box.

And I'd steal Slash's Top Hat, to keep the sun out of my eyes, while I was blazing away on the beach, with the Roadie Gnomes.

Desert Island huh?  Mine would have to be Super Strat of sorts.  Dimarzio Areas in the neck/mid, Virtual PAF in the bridge.  Plug that bad boy into a Fuchs Tripledrive Supreme-50 feeding a 412 with G12H30's and V30's in an X pattern.  Talk about sweet, and loud, but it's on a desert island, so no one cares.  For my pedal, I'd throw the RC Booster between me and the Fuchs to further saturate my tone.
