It's Heeereeee! And, Man is this thing HOT!  :cool01:
And I'm in Cocobolo heaven!
The neck is amazing! It feels every bit as sexy as Pau Ferro and the colors are gorgeous!

There are stripes of bright yellow, gold, orange, brown and red running all thru it!

The body is a lot more orange than the showcase photo is. Second time that has happened to me. Not sure if Warmoths intentionally increasing the red in the showcase photos, but it is significantly different. ...but it is still a very nice piece of wood parn.

A trans-brown on the back would have probably matched a little better, but it a pretty nice piece of Mahogany so the clear is good too.

And one shot of them together.

Still Imaginating on the hardware. This is my first Tele build so I'm really open for ideas. Chrome seems the right color to me. I kinda hate to put a big chrome tele bridge on it and hide all that grain, but not sure what other options there are for mounting the bridge pickup.
Since DangerousR6 introduced us, it has definitely got to have one of his neck plates, so we're bounce ideas around now.
Bought a set of Fralin Blues Specials with the intention of building a Tele, so I guess this is where those will go.
It will take me a bit to get to building it, so in the mean time I guess I'll just have to listen to the wife complaining, "Will you please put that neck down!" :toothy12:

Awesome!!!!!

I like the clear mahogany on the back, it gives a good contrast to the top.

Chrome, nickle or black hardware is the way to go. I'm leaning towards chrome or nickle.

I dunno about Chrome. Gold is definitely out. I'd think about black. Maybe on the neckplate you can do some selective red or orange  drop-fills like I did on mine for a Black/Silver/Red volcano thing. (I drop filled everything routed on mine in black to make it pop).

I'm undecided if a chopped bridge to not cover up so much would work. The tele bridge route is an unfortunate gaping wound on an otherwise beautiful guitar.

Oh god! I'm soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo jealous!

Dang! The GAS thread photoshop turned into a reality! That's... just... man. I have no words, just this:  :guitarplayer2:

There are at least three different sources for the 1/2 bridges, but here's one:

That other one in the picture is a Wilkinson, but I know that there's another... I think Barden or Callaham or somebody's making a boutique-y one too. The specific location of those... things in the woodgrain - knobs? Devil-bumps? Whatever you call them, they deserve to be free. I'm pretty sure no one looking at that guitar is going to say "too bad... he should've covered up the pickup hole with a pickguard"... :sad1: The biggest drawback with a guitar like that is that if you show up to jam or audition with that thing, it's required that you be the most badassed guitarist in the entire solar system.

WOW, WOW, WOW

I actually like the shade of the body better from your photos than the ones on the showcase.  Amazing colors on both body and neck.      Great match with the neck.    I would opt for black hardware to compliment the body binding.    Going to be killer.  Keep the photos coming.  That is some serious wood porn.

Congrats.

Actually if you did go with a chopped bridge, you could plug just the hole on either side of the pickup with pickguard material - another reason for black hardware.

As to the bridge mount .... ever thought of getting doug to do a tele mount ring then use scartozi bridge.

That's not funny, Marko! What would Jesus do?

Incredible pieces of Cocobolo, btw! :icon_thumright:

being a carpenter with divine powers i could only imagine what his guitar would look/sound like.

I don't think a Tele bridge would cover up that much grain considering how much good looking grain is on there.  Plus, it seems to be screaming for a Tele bridge, as it's pointing the grain to go around it.  I do however think the facedots are akin to putting earrings on a nude model or a school zone on a race track.

I'm don't usually like shinny guitars but that's one that would convert me :icon_thumright: the neck and body are amazing.....I wouldn't normally say this to another man...but I really want to touch your neck :toothy12:
