Somehow that ended up being sung to the tune of "Sweet Emotion" in my head.

.... which in turn led me to this:

Sting, whom I often write off as an effete douche, drops the freakin' bomb opposite Jeff Beck on lead guitar for a fun cover of Sweet Emotion.
Besides being king of the proverbial vinegar and water martini, he also got the opening bass line all wrong..

Yes, that's true.  It ain't note-for-note.  For my money, if you put Beck and Sting on a stage together, you would be a fool to expect any such thing.  I'm just sayin' that for a pseudo-reggae-jazzbo-milquetoast, he does a damn good job of holding it down.

What do you guys think of a canary on canary neck? It seems to be the cheapest route as I dont have to finish it. Either that or a maple on maple

If it matches the rest of the instrument, a Canary over Canary neck is a Fine Thing. They also behave much like Maple, if you're concerned about tone. I have a Kingwood over Canary neck here, and I love it. Polishes up smooth as silk, too.

Yea i seen the tone o meter for canary, not too warm. Im stoked about gettin this thing done! :guitarplayer2:

Canary would look great! I really like the color, and the style with the soloist and natural binding.  :headbang:

Not sure what you have decided on for the neck but my suggestion would be a Warhead head,  Maple/Maple,  done in Vintage Gloss.

The yellowed tinge of the Vintage Gloss would probably complement the Orange -ish burst on the body.

My 2c worth, of course, YMMV.

I don't know, this isn't my field of expertise(I hate neon, soloists, warhead, and everything about this.. :icon_biggrin:) But IF I were to choose I would agree on the maple/maple, but warmoth's "vintage" tint is yellower than homer simpson, it really is quite revolting. I would think all clear would look *best* with this..
