Damn. It looks like Cagey is attempting to institute his own version of GOTM.

Hehe! No, a couple of those are for guitars that I've had most of the parts to for some time. They're just a long time coming because of finishing issues or other work interruptions.

Hey, Doug - I feel the need coming upon me.  I'll shoot you an email to inquire about pricing.

But since we're among friends, what kind of ideas does the peanut gallery have for a black telecaster double-bound in cream, and a solid black gloss pickguard?

I may name her Black Betty.

Thoughts?
Hey Ian, what about this...?

Not to be a grammar nazi, but since this could get etched in steel you might want to know Cadillac is spelled with two Ls <grin>

Also, as long as we're making suggestions, what would be wrong with "Bête Noire" (Fr., literallly "Black beast") with some sort of appropriate graphic? Perhaps a panther.

I like the "Bête Noire" idea a lot.  How about this on a matte or anodized black plate, Doug?  I think I'd want to cut out some of the space between the eyes to and make it portrait-oriented, and use a blackletter typeface, and put the text at the bottom.

Well, let her rip - plain black will do the trick.

I'll do the needful via Paypal, and look forward to the mockup.

So you want the eyes and the "Bête Noire"? Correct?

Don't put the eyes too close. It will start to look like a politician.

I know. It's just a common catch-all Internet term for those who live to point out written language errors in spelling, punctuation, grammar, usage, tense, case, possession, etc. on message boards such as this one.

It is important stuff, though. Written language needs much more precision than the spoken word because there are so many non-verbal cues in verbal communications that simply don't show up when written. Something as simple as capitalization can cause serious misunderstandings. For example, you see the difference here?

Then my brother helped my Uncle Jack off a horse.
Then my brother helped my uncle jack off a horse.

It's significant.

Not to be a logic nazi, but not being a grammer nazi does not contravene not being a spelling nazi. The concepts are orthogonal, even if the same traits tend to run concurrently in individuals.
