I ordered a custom neck a couple weeks back and they have yet to charge my card. Does Warmoth always wait until the parts ship before taking the payment?

Be cool my friend. They wont charge your card until the bits are ready, and on their way out of the door.
Custom stuff will take a good few weeks to manufacture, depending on what you ordered....
So.......What did you order? C'mon tell us the details, we love stuff like this.

Thanks for the quick reply. I got a confirmation right after I ordered telling me it'd be 9 weeks so I was ready for the wait, just wasn't sure how the money was handled.
As for the neck, it's a vintage modern maple with rosewood fretboard, 9.5 radius, SRV contour, SS 6105 frets. Satin/gloss vintage finish on the back/headstock respectively. Rebuilding a MIM Strat that just isn't cutting it anymore

Hey, man, welcome to the board. I just read the other day right here, straight from a Warmoth employee that it is possible to let them know when placing an order that you would like to be "pre-charged", meaning you can pay right then. Other than that, though, they will drain your bank account right as they are shipping it out.
