Lead Times?

Not sure if this question has been posed recently, but how accurate are the lead times for bass bodies? Not that I'm in a hurry or anything, just curious. I ordered a bass body 2 weeks ago. I got blue flake with clear coat and cream binding in a p-bass configuration. The site says the lead time is 12-14 weeks. Just curious if it may be sooner or later than that timespan. Anyone got the info on this?

Also, I'm fairly new to Warmoth and researched other companies prior to purchasing with Warmoth. I have always wanted to do a custom build, and chose Warmoth because of all the cool options they offer. I've done plenty of Mods but never built a custom bass. This journey is going to be super cool I think.

They had the neck in stock that i wanted, so I got that. Looks like very high quality! I'm super stoked!

Anyone got the info on lead times?

I have no current info, but my last custom painted body [two years ago] arrived at my door "two days under twelve weeks" from the day I ordered (build estimates at that time were projected at 16-17 weeks)

That's gonna be gorgeous!

While it's possible to be done a week early, obviously, they can't promise that. There's also the minuscule chance that something goes wrong in production due to factors out of control, and they have to start over. Best bet is to just mark your calendar for the estimated lead time (always longer with paint, of course), add another week for the UPS truck, and your new baby comes home.

Heck, I'm just glad we're out of pandemic lead times now! Replace the word "weeks" with "months," and that's what some of us had to live through (let alone our forum friends overseas). It got to be a good-natured game of posting when we ordered, when we got The Email, and when it arrived. Some of us were really envious when another forum member got a product in 3 months (or something like that; it was a dark time that I've mostly blocked out of my memory ).

Like Petty said, the waiting is the hardest part. What kinda electronics are going in the p-bass? Vintage style?
