Crack when installing studs

I got a crack when installing the trem studs on a new body, what are my options? I used wax and a rubber mallet to drive it, but at the very end it developed the crack. I can feel it with my nail but I can’t slip a piece of paper in the crack.

Any advice will be appreciated it. Part of me want to just continue and deal with it (by getting a new body when problems develop), but I’m not sure it how long would that last…

I’ve done quite a few without problems before but I just remembered that this is a roasted swamp ash body, I had forgotten that it was roasted and thus needs extra care (got it during the Black Friday sale).

Little late but I think the parts like studs and ferrels don't need to be so tight, sanding before installation to where they can be pushed in by hand, not totally wallow out, still firm but a rubber hammer for only the final taps, correct me if I wrong

That would be too loose for most things.

I would NOT ever recommend crack, it is dangerous.
