Coolest Bass Riffs Ever

That's actually pretty accurate, at least to my thought process.  All my favorite bands write a lot of songs about other things like... science, history, childhood experiences, etc.  It gets tiresome if every song is about women being mean or women being sexy.  Those subjects just aren't that interesting to me compared to other things.

Let's face it.  Women being mean and women being sexy are really the two key lyrical ingredients of rock.  Take that away and what's left?  Muse, I guess  :laughing7:

Edit: ironically, the very name "Muse" evokes women being sexy.

If you only think inside the box, then yeah I guess.  I just appreciate it a lot more when lyricists get creative.  Pink Floyd wrote about all kinds of things.  Though, if we're gonna go with the classic tradition on rock lyrics, you are forgetting the other crucial staple of rock, which is sticking it to the man.

don't know if they were said... but.

Crazy Train - Ozzy Osbourne

Don't Stop Believing - Journey
