I'm wanting a scraper that can get the radiused corners on a strat body. I see the french curve scraper stewmac sells (they actually beat the woodworking catalogs on this one), but have questions about being able to get enough of the body inside the scraper to fit the curve. It does look like it'd be useful for the tummy cut though.

1) Has anyone used this tool on guitar bodies? Did it work well, or did you have this problem I'm expecting?
2) Is there a better tool for doing this?  (Like shavehooks?)
3) Am I fretting over nothing /  doing this wrong?

I was looking at my epoxy job last night through the camera w/ some naptha to bring out the sheen and its looking good, however there's some cruftiness around the edges and a straight blade just aint cutting it. (No pun intended).

Just in case anyone else finds this thread:

The cabinet scraper sold at Stew-Mac, Woodworker's Supply etc...
will not fit around the belly cut curves on a strat, nor will it fit well to any other edge curve. The straight edged rounded end scraper does an ok job, and the convex side of the french curved scraper fits the flat surface of the belly cut ok.

But so far I've actually had better luck with a plain old single edge utility razor. Seems to do a better job of scraping finish only and not removing wood when I get down through the finish.
