NBC = morons.  If they don't do something to make sure Conan stays, they are going to lose a lot of viewers.

Have a great day and, for the record, I am truly sorry about my hair, it's always been that way.

Yours,

Conan

:laughing7:

all the power to him,  I never liked him all that much as a host, but NBC are douchebags.

I'm a Craig Ferguson guy.

If anything Jay should just move on. He's spent 17 years in the limelight, Conan should have his chance.

I have never watched Conan, but he seems a stand up guy. He said he would rather walk then to go to 12:30 which would bump Jimmy Falon who took his old time slot...I don't see Leno making the same stand. Based on his integrity alone there will be bigger and better offers for Conan....not to mention he has money does he really need a job.

I like Connan,  I like Jay too, But I think the best of all of the latenight, Like volitions, is Craig Ferguson.  NBC should let Jay and Connan go and Hire Craig Feruson, that would be huge

I know.....it's not gonna happen  :sad1:

We only get the big ones this side of the Atlantic, but I've always preferred Conan over Leno. Leno is smooth, entertaining and usually pretty funny - but Conan has that small element of danger in his comedy that I really like. Letterman... eh let's just move on shall we? I've actually never heard of this Ferguson fellow.

I can't help but feel that NBC should have seen this coming, and that they should stand by their decisions and give Conan a real chance. I hope he finds a better job than this turned out to be.

And obviously, Parkinson has them all for breakfast - but that's another thread...

Me too. I've always liked Jay because he's really smooth, but Conan is mostly just annoying to me. What Conan lacks Ferguson makes up for big time.

Hey! I was expecting to see some barbarian swords and beers on this topic
+1.
Ha ha, us 'foreigners' know little about the US TV Late Night scene - although I did hear something about Jay Leno getting the flick. Maybe Rove is heading there to take a spot? (Aussie TV guy - there's been speculation in the past here about our Rove doing his Show over there) :icon_scratch:

We are of course talking about USA late night shows, I am 50 and grew up watching Johnny Carson, there will never be another like him, yet that's what people are trying to do, replace johnny, It can't be done.

When johnny Carson died a few years ago, I cried like a baby, He was a part of me growing up. Anyone my age knows what I am talking about, those that don't understand....Bummer, you all missed a great era

I don't know anyone who watches Craig Ferguson.  I think I've seen one sketch of his, and I thought he was creepy.  I've always liked Conan the best because he makes fun of himself all the time, and he somehow manages to get the guests on his show to be funnier than they actually are.  Plus he's Irish, and a nerd, so I can totally relate to him.  He plays guitar too.

I don't watch tv much, but I do know Conan is a hell of guitar player, and has quite a few nice guitars in his collection, so whatever we are trying to decide here, I vote for him.

Craig is a standup guy.

This is a less funny, more sincere moment of his. but It shows who he is.
I think he's gunning for Conan

This is a very good monologue from someone who speaks with the unwanted experience of having been there, and sadly, done that. He is sincere in explaining why he didn't take shots at Britney when she was at her worst, and that monologue would have endeared him to many people watching, I reckon.

Wow, after seeing this, I'm definitely never watching anything Jay does ever again.  This was his "I'm giving Conan the show" speech from 2004.  What a jerk.

By the way, the I'm With CoCo group on facebook now has almost 300,000 members, and the I'm With CoCo rally at Universal looks like it's gonna have around 1500 people.  Simultaneously, there are going to be rallies in NY, Seattle, Chicago, and apparently ?Alaska?.  This is freaking insane.  I've never seen a more intense amount of rage over a TV show.  There are also tons and tons of comedians suddenly revealing how much they've actually hated Jay for years and that they all think it's disgusting that he refuses to retire, even though he is 60 and he has been saying for years that he would retire at 60.  I don't see a lot of hope for Jay Leno's Tonight Show after this.  I think the numbers for the 18-30 age group are really going to suffer.

I'm gonna go to the I'm With CoCo rally tomorrow.  It should be really interesting.

That seemed very sincere to me and after listening my respect for Jay has only increased.
