Very nice!

I'm curious, though... this is the third Tele I've looked at today that was way off the reservation, but still used the ancient tuners. What's the big attraction with those things? If you're not doing a "vintage" or "relic" reproduction and you're making specific custom choices about how it's put together, then you're clearly enlightened. So, why use obsolete, low-performance hardware? If somebody looking at the thing doesn't know anything about guitars, they're not going to be impressed one way or the other. If they do know about guitars and find out you installed those on purpose, they're going to wonder what you were thinking when there are so many better parts out there. In the grand scheme of things, there's not that much difference in cost once you're all done. I mean, using Sperzels or Schallers would only change it from a $1,200 instrument to a $1,230 instrument. Is money that tight that you can't amortize $30 over 10 years for the sake of improved function?

Cagey--Well, let's see. For my purposes, the vintage-style
tuners work & function just fine; I'm satisfied with the degree of tuning stability they afford, and,
the other factor I consider is their lighter weight. Jeez, man, what can I tell you, I kinda like 'em.
Maybe I just don't really need "high performance tuners" t'play the blues. Now, that being said,
my preferences for non-Fender type guitars are different-I don't mean to give the impression that I don't like, and don't use, Grovers, Schallers, & Gotohs-they're great, creamy, even, compared to the vintage units. But, again, for my Fender-style instruments, the vintage ones are
what I like...it's yet another of those subjective, inexplicable thingies that endlessly flourish on
this forum, no?

Well a hat trick of Teles  & Warmoth builds (a UN Warmoth First.) Another great Build.
As you have such a choice of pickups Bridge / neck, in the other builds, what do you like about then?
Is the Powertron close to the 59? (or does the Powertron have its own charecter?)
Same with the Tv Classic neck & the Firebird Neck ? Thanks.

The '59 is the richest & most 'full' sounding...the TV JONES
has the most treble response, and the Firebird mini-hmbkr is somewhere in-between-very sweet
and clear...

:blob7: ... just knew there had to be a #3.

That'll sing along  :guitarplayer2:

All great builds / guitars ... nice job    :hello2:
