What did you get?

I scored a Roadrunner case, a cheapo Korg tuner, some D'Addario flatwounds I'll be returning to the GC tomorrow for some Ernie Balls, a pack of picks, a 21' Monster Cable Bass, a Badass III bridge in black chrome with the grooved saddles, and the coolest gift which is actually not bass-related..

A 1950's Remington QuietRiter Miracle Tab typewriter. I made some obscure reference to wanting to write a book on a typewriter a few months ago and my inlaws found me this one. I opened the box (this is a "portable" model that weighs just 23lbs) and it had a paper in it that my wife's grandfather had typed on, just one line: "Now is the time to count your blessings."

Before I could get all squishy and try to thank him, he said, "If you ever sell it, I will find you." I love family.

What did yall get?

So far, a metronome. But there's a large package under the tree that I can't open until my GF and I have our Xmas on Monday...it looks about the size of a Blackheart Little giant.  :icon_biggrin:

Got enough money to pay back the blue flame LP and canary LP neck I got last January which now means I can begin the process of acquiring the parts to build said LP and the tele I got last Christmas.

:headbang1:

I got the neck payed for that I ordered for my LPS I got from the sale. wenge back with ziricote board. unique choice!!!!!!!!

Not a bad xmas. I am blessed!!!

I got a Theremin kit,

Whoa!~  Who's kit did you get?  PAiA or Moog? Or other?  I've built the PAiA and have played with the MOOG.  Both quite different.  To me... the Moog is more stable but the PAiA sounds better in some respects.

Although I would have liked a PAiA or a MOOG, they were bot a bit expensive. The store here, jaycar (I guess is similar to radioshack), has a kit. Not the best quality, but it's (or was, i've already finished it) still an experience.
The only problem is finding an adapter for it, I don't have a 12VAC adapter in the house that has the right plug. I'm gonna get one on Tuesday though.

flatwounds and a korg metronome (both are a real joy to play with)

a few hotlicks instructional dvds, enough technical material to last me YEARS of practice (only because it's concerning more fundamental techniques that will make it more like I never learned to play the guitar; i.e hybrid + chicken picking)

gift cards seem to be big this year, I got one or two, unexpectedly enough

NOW- back to soaking up this material  :guitaristgif:

I asked for some quality 'ears' to go with my new iPod and got these... Mercifully the flashing leds don't show in the picture.

Got the Strat body I made a separate post about. Still not quite sure how I'm going to get it home.

Plus a £250 credit card bill coming sometime soon for travel I had to rearrange because of the weather, which is sure to put a hole in my plans to buy the other parts I need.

The tele on the left still needs to be finished and the blue LP is the one that is now paid off, so I can start building it and the tele.  Yay.

Oh thats cool... !~

iPod touch (not exactly on my list but can't complain at all.  :laughing7:) some tubes (Tung Sol 12AX7 and Svetlana EL34) - yeah I know I just grabbed a bunch of old Tungsrams but my parents ordered these before I grabbed the Tungsrams and it's nice to have a couple high gain tubes as well, got some strings (finally moving from 12's to 11's...), and a sweet little notebook to store lyrics in. Not as much music gear as usual, but as a Christmas it was a score.
