Here is my wenge/padouk body mated with a wenge neck with an ebony fingerboard. My daughter christened it "Chocolate Thunder". With the following specs, it is aptly named:
Best pic my camera phone could get on this cloudy, rainy Pittsburgh day:
Sexy body shot - the finish is so shiny, it is hard to get one straight on!
Different angle to try to capture the grain - Wenge sure is purdy!
The neck is beautiful - the ebony fingerboard streaky. Very cool!
Wood p0rn money shot:
A fine example of Dangerous R6's handiwork:
Went for the gold speed knobs over the amber over the amber bell knobs I had on hand. I may try getting some gold bell knobs later.
Gold Seymour Duncan Phat Cats - they chime beautifully when the volume is down but can growl and bark as you crank up the volume.
Attempted closeup of Full Contact hardware bridge - can you take who makes it? :icon_biggrin:
The whole body just rings when you pluck a string. It is very loud without amplification presumably due to the chambered body. All in all, I am very happy with how it turned out.
