The build quality looks fantastic and the reviews are great... are there any downsides to these clones?  It's hard to argue with less than $1k for an exact clone of a Dumble ODS ($20,000+ amp).

The only downside is that shipping is freaking expensive.  My solution is to have the chassis shipped without the transformers - then use local manufacturers.

I ordered an 'ultra champ' last week -  a blackface vibro champ with a tonestack bypass switch, and had him add a pentode / triode switch for $15 extra. He was great to deal with by email, I just wish the website was more informative.

Hey Trevor, where did you get the trannies?  I've been looking around and even with shipping, Nik's seem to be cheapest.

I'm playing my 8-Ball through my Ceriatone "1987" Plexi 50 with tube converters and EL84's through a Celestion Greenback at the moment, and WOW does it sound good?
Not exactly cranking it as the neighbours are in, but its right there.

Top marks for Nik and all at Ceriatone.
