What exactly is Cedro? I found it looking at Kiko Loureiro's Tagima signature K1. Never heard of it before. The limited info I found here indicates that it's some kind of cedar/mahagony hybrid. Any more knowledege or experiences with Cedro? If Kiko's using it, that's gotta be one magic wood  :guitarplayer2:

I looked it up on Google, the unimpeachable font of all sweetness, light and knowledge, and it returned a bunch of links to places that seem to be written in Spanish (I don't speak/read Spanish, so I could be wrong mistaken). So, my guess is it's the Spanish name for something we're more familiar with by another name. Since most of the pictures look like some sort of evergreen, I'm guessing it's a variety of pine or spruce.

A lot of the cheap Jacksons are made from "Indian Cedro". And I do think I've seen other teenage-shredders in the same material.

Same thing with me, and Kiko and Tagima are Brazilian, so that fits too. Although the Indian doesn't seem to fit in with all that, but judging by what people are saying, the Indian Cedro seems the cheaper variety; whatever they're using for the K1 has gotta be primo
