I've had all manner of cases in the past.
Some nicer Canadian made Fender wood/tolex cases (from the 1970's)Some newer, and still ok made Fender wood/tolex cases (from the 1990's/early 2000's)
A had a Fender molded ABS case that literally melted in the back window of my rental Camaro when I went up to Louisville with it...... but it was still usable!
ABS case for a LP and another for a 335 that did the trick nicely

I've had diamondplate aluminum cases - too damn heavy, but built like the Battleship Texas
So was wondering.....
What folks thought of the GATOR GC-Electric-A  ABS case for Tele (and Strat)

Gotta say most of the ABS cases have been decent.

I got one that is almost the same case but generic branded. It's a fine case.

Thinkin' I'm gonna take a chance and order one of those.
Good lord... I checked out Amazon and there are loads of counterfeit "Fender" cases there.  I don't mean style wise, I mean counterfeit.  The list the Fender part number and Fender name, but... it ain't the Fender case!

For electrics I have about 15 OEM cases in my attic and I use a Levy's soft leather case for everything.
It's probably more expensive and less protective than some of the cases you guys are talking about, but I don't care because I like it.

I would stay away from Gator Cases, at least the ones that are made of some plastic. My guitar player had one - broke 2 tomes under warranty 9both when it was very cold outside and the guitar were riding in the trailer). Their plastic does not seem to tolerate Canada's winter.

SKB Never broke (as well as traditional cases)

Another +1 on SKB.  Solid, light and cheap.
+1 again, although I might change "cheap" to "relatively inexpensive". I have a couple, very nice cases!  :icon_thumright:

Gator arrived intact.  It'll do.  Worth the $89 bux!
Bought my son a Gator case for his Squire Strat, that was 14 years ago, still going strong. Good luck with yours!
