Canary neckwood availability & cost?

I was looking to put a canary spec neck together for a body I recently received, and I don't see Canary as a neckwood option on the price chart. Has this wood type become unavailable, or is it by special order only? If the latter what is the upcharge? I'm looking at a 24 3/4" conversion neck, '59 roundback contour with Warhead headstock, bloodwood fingerboard.

You might want to contact Warmoth directly for availability and price.

Another datapoint:

I recently phoned them up and placed an order for a pro neck all canary. It was no problem.  Cost was less than I was expecting - but I was expecting it to be on the expensive side.

Oh - and the neck is beautiful  :)

I just ordered a Pro Strat Canary neck with Malagasy Rosewood fingerboard.  Base price was $282.00.
I thought this was a good price for such a cool neck! :hello2:

I to  just ordered a totally custom canary neck with unique choice FB about a week ago, no problem. It was a bit more than I anticipated, but then again it's a one-off..... :headbang1:

Way cool Mr. Dangerous!  You will be seeing pics of my Canary/Malagasy neck on Mr. Cray upon arrival.  :blob7:

I expect we will see the same from you, as you are aware of the laws; pics are required!

They don't list Canary as an option on a tiltback headstock, unfortunately.

I tried to order an angled headstock in Canary last year, and was told they don't do it.  I called to follow-up (and possible persuade) and they said that the oily nature of the wood doesn't work well with the scarf joint.  End of story.  I ended up with Wenge instead.

However, you can find canary tiltback's in the showcase.

In fact, last month I bought an all canary angled strat from the showcase.
It's way sweet, with a Wolfgang contour.

Go figure.  It can be done, I have one, it's in my bedroom.

Perhaps it has a greater chance of problems, so they don't offer it standard.
I have no idea, that is just what happened to me.

They offer a number of things on the showcase that they don't offer for custom orders, for instance, bound bass necks...

Mine's a tilt back too, they must have resolved the issue of the scarf joint... :dontknow:

Hmm, go figure.

Yea, please let me know.
I'd order another one.

Put my order in. I did change the headstock, but went with the Variax which is still angled. Base price was the same as Padouk. Can't wait now  : :toothy10:

Well I'll be damned!

I still have the e-mail....I'm not CRAZY!!
;-)  LOL

Very nice PitchShifter.
I'm very confident you won't be disappointed.
I love mine.  They should really list it on the website as an option though.
Makes me wonder what other options aren't listed.

I'm waiting on a bubinga baritone with zircote fingerboard right now, but I have two other projects in need of necks.

Hmm....you know....
I really haven't browsed every page of the new website yet, I mostly troll through the showcase.
I actually don't see canary listed anywhere as an option in the pricing tables.
I guess it really pays to call.

I wonder what other mystery woods Warmoth offers that are only available by phone order...
