Hi there,

I recently stumbled upon a Pic of a L5S with an archtop-tailpiece like the one on Gibson es 175. It made me gassing. But I can`t find it anymore. And after an hour of clicking thru the forum iI rather ask.
Does anyone have the link of that thread?

Thank you
gm

Dunno where it is on the W. site or here, but here's the part you'll be ordering if you go down this road:  http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Bridges,_tailpieces/Archtop_guitar_tailpieces/Thin_Body_Trapeze_Tailpiece.html

Thank you, but I was looking for the thread where the guitar is pictured to see that wooden tailpiece. I finally found it: http://www.unofficialwarmoth.com/index.php?topic=14978.0
That kind of tailpiece is such a beautiful one.

By the way: Do you know if that is an angled neckpocket?

Walter Johns, the builder of that axe, gives his contact info here:  http://www.unofficialwarmoth.com/index.php?topic=14375.msg203958#msg203958

I'm sure if you called him he'd give you the lowdown.

I saw that one, thank you. John Walt emailed me. He said he cut of an already existing one from a Eastman Guitar.
Maybe I will have my Luthier build one for me...because the Benedetto is far to long for my Project.

We will see. First I am going to order my Body and Neck. Then comes the waiting part... It will be a Thinline-Telecaster with a Jazz Bridge.

Like the one in the picture. I got the Idea when I saw Robben Ford playing a similiar guitar on a Youtube video. He played with Larry Carlton. My first thaught was: Damn, I need to have that guitar.
Thanks to Warmoth it will be reality...in a few month :hello2:

EDIT: I removed the pic because of copyrights.

This is not only an educational forum, it's non-commercial and content is not for redistribution, so "fair use" applies to copyrighted material. Of course, that's not carte blanche to move around content carelessly, but if you're posting a picture for exemplary purposes as part of an explanation of something, you don't have to worry about the DHS sending in the black helicopters to spirit you away in the middle of the night.

Here is a Link to the Pictures:

I feel better this way... :-\

:o WOW! Those look great. Can't wait to see your project get started then. Those are some seriously cool looking guitars.
