cabronita build take two....how long to let transtint dry....

before applying a thin shellac coat? the purpose of it would be to keep the stain from moving around any when I got to put the tru oil on? I hated how the cabronita came out in the end...so I stripped and I am starting over.

I really like it! I think alder is a pretty wood and it gets covered up too often to be appreciated. There's also something so attractive about the Cabronita set-up. Shows off the Tele shape without the sometimes distracting arc of the Tele pickguard.

And I'm a sucker for single pickup electrics. No-nonsense, plug-it-in and play.  :guitarplayer2:

I couldnt agree more. I wanted a no nonsense get in and jam kind of guitar. ala gibbons if you will. its been a long road with this build but in the end I think its gonna be worth it. when i first did the neck it was too amber against the body so I sanded some off with a piece of steel wool. It kind of has  a road worn vibe now.
