Murphy has a line in the back where you can see the seam in the body, and was buffed through to the wood under the pickguard around the routes... I took Slingbass's viewpoint and figured W got the first knick out of the way for me so it won't hurt so much when I put one on myself.

There was no way in hell I was giving that body back, so I slapped some plastic over the goofs and went  :rock-on:.

Someone here said, "You use it, you bruise it." I guess my car is proof enough.

my tele deluxe, too. i kind of like it. it makes me feel like the finish underneath the clear is very thin. i'm not one of those people to throw things around like "thin finishes are guaranteed to sound better" blah blah blah, but i do like the fact that i can see a seam and a tiny bit of woodgrain. also, some wood is visible in the pickup routes too. but that's all covered up, so not too concerning.

I wound up trading the body & then bought a black carved top LP body. Much better.
