Bridge height adjustment screws on 6-hole vintage bridge

Hi all,

I'm almost embarrassed to post this question, but does anyone know the thread specs for the saddle height adjustment screws for the 6-hole vintage bridge that Warmoth sells?

Mine came with shorter screws on the two E strings, and unfortunately they are a bit too short to get the action I like (right wrong or otherwise I like slightly higher action).  I've purchased both Fender and Allparts no-name replacements and found in each case the thread count on the screw is different.  I'm guess English vs. Metric or vice versa looking at the screws side by side.

Any pointers appreciated - I know this sounds like a stupid problem, but googling has only found me replacements for the Fender original thread sizes which won't work, and without knowing the specs I can't really order anything from a random screw/bolt supplier.

Cheers!
Jon

Couldn't you just stop by a Home Depot with the original and find the right screw?

I wish... Home Depot and Lowes have nothing smaller than a #6 and these are a #4 or similar.  I've tried #4-40s and they don't seem to work.  I know a place where I can order an "assortment" but I hate to spend $20 bucks for 50 screws I'll never use :)  It's what I'll do if I can't locate exactly what I need.

Well, I have a junkyard guitar that I could pull a couple bridge screws off of... I could mail 'em to you, they might fit.

I'm pretty sure the way to search for them is by the size of the allen wrench that adjusts them. Every one I've ever seen takes a 0.050" English wrench or a 1.5mm metric one - do you have an import guitar that you can unscrew one out of to check the sizing? At one point, I bought a bottom-level import bridge just to get a set of screws I could shorten, without disabling my import-bridged guitar. But, there's gotta be a source... :icon_scratch:

ADDED: This page has some that fit the Squiers and Mexican strats:

Since they also sell the English ones, it seems they know the difference.

Hey thanks!

They definitely take a different Allen wrench than my Am Std, so maybe that's the key.

Thanks for the link!

Sorry for such a low tech problem!
