Bridge 510?

First build, so ignore my ignorance.

Had the body routed for the 510 bridge. Can I put the EV510 Gotoh bridge in there, or do I have to use the one Warmoth sells?

We are talking about the 510 tremolos rather than the fixed bridge. From what I can see of the specs the studs are the same and the stud spacings.

However, there are one or two-dimensional differences if you go to the Gotoh site and compare the diagrams. There is a reasonable chance it will work but you need to look at the dimensions yourself and make a judgment call.

The EV510 will also give 1mm either side less room to the edge of the board for the outer strings.

I would normally recommend for first builds/assemblies to not stray too far from the beaten track and known parts. Less chance of hitting a problem that way.

Gotta agree with stratamania. My first build, I used a Hipshot American Flat Plate bridge with a standard Fender American tremolo route. Supposed to be a "drop-in" fit, but I ended up having to modify the body to make it work out right. If you decide to go "non-traditional", just be prepared...
