Thin necks are foir Shredders. I can get my fix of those with my Jacksons. That neck needs some meat on its bones. Trying to wrastle good blues rock  lead/rythm out of a thin neck like that can really hurt your hands.

I've been playing Wizard necks for 20+ years, now I'm leaning towards the 59 Roundback, less cramping on the wrist from having to squeeze the hand tighter.  My hand is more relaxed in a more open position, so a larger profile is more comfortable to me now where it wasn't in earlier years.

Very nice
Well I've seen better looking BR necks in the showcase, there's several in there right now. And they are much better looking than this one...I'm not impressed, and certainly not seeing it being worth a grand, not compared to some of the others I've seen... But hey, that's just me.....:dontknow:
You're looking at wild grain figure as your measure of a quality Brazilian Rosewood neck. That's like sizing up a muscle car by its paint job. The reason I started this thread is to try and explain what is hard to know from a picture. I've handled every neck going through the Showcase for years now. You could say I've seen a few. The more this neck's owner knows about wood, the more he is going to be thrilled with his purchase when gets it. It should be a couple grand. Maybe I can get some close up shots added to the listing.

I didn't  say it's tonal qualities were any less than that of a figured piece. But  I would I would venture to say that at least 95% of people that are wood fanatics, and wanting to build a custom, are more than likely going looking for something aesteically pleasing. And more often than not, the paint job is what got your attention  to the muscle car..  :dontknow:

That's true. The BR fingerboard I have on my Bengal Burst LP, is on there because it is crazy looking.
