The gear geek in me says, "wow, super cool."
The practical (cynical) touring tech and former DSP/Firmware engineer at a major gear manufacturer says, "absolutely not."
The main reason why I wouldn't put this in any guitar = Deprecation of technology.
If it doesn't sell, Bognar will stop updating the app and eventually it won't work anymore. Android and ios in particular, don't do backwards compatibility very well. You'll be stuck with $1200 of settings you can't adjust anymore, or buying a second mobile device to freeze the OS version to continue to use it (I still have a dedicated windows XP machine to use some of my old equipment...)
Pieces of gear have come out, been a commercial dud, and within a year or two (or less) the manufacturer stops supporting updates required to migrate to the next version of the OS (both computer and phone). The upside is Bognar is a reputable company, not a fly-by-night single gizmo start-up in Johnny's garage next door, but it's still a roll of the dice I wouldn't take - or I'd wait a while to see how it does commercially.
