blue strat project

I put some stain on this last fall.  I wasn't sure it it was what I wanted at the time but I think I'm going to go with it.

I just don't know if I want to stain the back, or if I want to scrape the edges and leave the back clear.

stain the back, you did a beautiful job on the front! is there any way you can get it a deeper blue?

I was going for the Jackson color Chlorine. I wanted it kinda light. 

one vote for stain the back though.

thanks.  I used Stew Mac color tone liquid stain and Behkol fot the thinner.  The back is 3 piece alder, and I'm sure when stained it will look a little different than the front.  I've cosidered using a darker stain for the back and trying to burst it onto the front, but I'm not sure I can pull that off.

dude, that tele is sick....and I love the blue top....I'm ok with leaving the back clear but my 3 piece alder is nowhere near that one piece mahogany monster you have there.  but then again, I'm messing with a $245 body.

By the way the neck for this build is a birdseye/birdseye Warmoth pro with a reverse strat headstock.  :icon_thumright: very 80's and something I've always dreamed of.
