Blue Strat Done

Started life as a closeout body and neck, less than $350 combined for those parts. I present my chambered poplar/quilt bodied and birdseye maple/pau ferro necked Strat.

Very nice! Don't looks like close-out!  :icon_biggrin:

Thank you!
That's the beauty of Warmoth, even their "low line" stuff is excellent!

Yeah that looks like trash, no wonder they were closeouts.  :icon_scratch:

It's really excellent, man, my Warmoth doesn't look anywhere near that good and I spent 3 times as much.

Is that scratchplate from Warmoth or did you drill the holes in yourself ?

Just wondering because of the positions of the vol and tone knobs...

How does poplar sound ?

The guard is not a Warmoth product.
I like the sound of the guitar a lot. Of course, the maple neck adds a lot to the tone, but the chambered poplar imparts a killer warmth and fullness. I've used the guitar at a few gigs already, and it went straight to being my #1.

Awesome color...

:rock-on:

Thank you. One very cool thing about the color is you can't tell it's blue at all from a certain angle. It looks completely black.
