My project is finally finished! Well, almost finished. I had started a thread here about possibly putting a tinted pickguard on this beauty but I think I am gonna take some of the advice and feedback I got and not do a pickguard. I am still waiting on a custom switch plate that will surround the 5way switch. Once that gets here, then I am going to head to Crossroads Guitars in Washington D.C., which is about 1.5hrs from me, and get it Pleked. But other than that, she is done and plays great already!

Wow! That is one beautiful guitar! If that thing plays and sounds half as good as it looks, you are one lucky player. You must be very pleased!

That looks very nice. Looks like a player.

What sort of weight was the Korina body and final guitar if you happen to know?

Yes, I am very pleased with the result :headbang: and she does sound great! I have been playing her through my little practice amp today. I get to plug it into my main rig tonight at our practice spot.  :party07:

If I remember correctly, which I am pretty confident I do, the body was 3lbs, 15oz. I don't know about the neck. The finished guitar seems pretty well balanced. Weight wise, it doesn't seem noticeably different than an american standard strat.

Oh, and the neck is also a Vintage Modern. I think there may be a slight difference in weight between the VM and the WP.

Thanks, just wondered on the weight as I saw a Korina based body in the showcase but it's 4 lb 10 oz.

Anyway enjoy the guitar  :icon_thumright:

I found the old listing on warmoth. It was 3lbs, 12oz.

And thanks! I will enjoy  :icon_biggrin:

Sweet mercy!
