Here's my new Warmoth.  The body is Swamp Ash on Swamp Ash, with a Bengal Burst finish on top and a gloss black back and natural masking. The pickguard is a Tele Hybrid (White/Black/White).  Standard thin Pro neck, Canary with Ebony Fretboard, 6105 fretwire, Mother of Pearl Face Dots Inlay, and White Corian Earvana Compensated Nut.
The other bits to go with this are:
Sperzel Tuners
Fender Custom Shop ’51 Nocaster pickups
Callaham hardware
:glasses9:

Thanks for that.  The body finish really highlights the swamp ash grain.  The neck looks good raw (see photos below) and I have started with a Danish oil to bring out the contrast in that.
Cheers

Sweeeeeeeet...
That Canary neck goes great with the Bengal body  :glasses9:

Super nice tele there chrisg, you'll love the canary once you get her rockin'. Should be pretty bitchin with some Danish oil on it..... :headbang:....I love mine..... :icon_biggrin:

Very cool. I wasn't digging the first picture, but with the pickguard it all sort of comes together. It should look excellent assembled!

I'm leaning the other way, i say let all that swammppy goodness be seen. Don't hide it behind a pickguard.... :dontknow:

I am still debating whether to use the pickguard or not.  Will wait and see what it looks like with rest of the hardware.

Ordinarily I'd say no pickguard, but I agree that it really looks good on that body.

I might be the only consistently pro-pickguard person on here (I love them for some reason), so for what it's worth I think the white pickguard really sets off the grain and the burst. Looks great!

The pickguard looks good there... I'd probably still go no pickguard.  But either way, sweet axe!  :rock-on:

I have always been a no pick guard kind of guy.  However, lately those pick guards have been growing on me.
I would say, keep the pick guard.  It just fits...

I would not have thought that wood/finish combo would look good, but that really looks nice.

Thanks everyone for the comments.  I'll post some more pics when the neck is finished and the other hardware arrives.

I'm pro-pickguard 99.99% of the time too.
