Colour-wise, I prefer the amp knob. Not sure about the style but I guess it would work well for the pinky thing. All looking good though, Frank - that neck is spectacular and I agree, the tort is really nice. (Can't believe I've put so many guitars together in the last few years and none have a tort guard.)

I like the black knob, as well, but just found out the pot's shaft is too wide to accommodate it.  The amp knob it is (for now at least).

I had one that was too tight and I just hand turned a barely oversized drill bit inside it to ream it out a little. That worked fine and even left some of the spline grooves in there. That said, black!

Color-wise, the black knob would look best, but I don't like that knob style. To tough to get a proper grip on. That white knob would be best if it was black. If it was mine, I'd be putting a black or chrome knurled Tele-style knob on it.

Yah I loved the black dome knob that was on the former pickguard (HxS), but the placement of the volume control makes tall knobs a hindrance.  Makes shorter ones ideal because my pinky lands right on it when I reach (no having to hang a right after the term bar).

Hehe! I had a feeling that would happen. Happens to me all the time when an unexplored avenue opens up that promises to lead to something I'm interested in. Get lost for hours investigating common mode noise rejection and somehow end up on Wikipedia reading about the reproductive habits of crippled naked African mole rats at 4am.

Skirt is same diameter as tradition strat knobs, but the crown is slightly narrower.  Looks like a winner.

Those are sharp! I've used that style before to good effect, but generally speaking I don't care for skirts on knobs unless I need graduations/numbers/indicators of some sort. Since I don't need any of that on a guitar, they just use up space my finger could be gripping on.
