I'd love to hear what you do with your Bass VI.  Sound clips, videos especially welcome.
(Yeah, I'm trying to give myself a good reason...)

I tried one once, loved it. GREAT guitar for surf.

Go for it!!! :headbang1:

You better be making the twin for that beautiful moon jazzmaster!  :toothy10:

Also frettedamericana has quite a few videos of bass6's.

Yeah, I've seen PhilX's videos.
But I'm not going to build a guitar to goof around with.
I've got a couple of ideas, but I thought there would be people on this forum who've actually built and USED one.

Build another jazzmaster, baritone neck, the Ernie ball beefy slinkies, tune it way down, gfs lipstick tubes, dress it up like your jazzmaster, and start a surf band.

Or you could give it to me.

I have an idea, build the Bass 6 and of you don't like, just send it to me, I'll give it a good home.  :laughing3:

It's kinda n00bish to need a reason. Just saying.  :icon_jokercolor:

Well, I AM a nOOb.  And should I be taking advice from a guy with 7 Warmoths in solid colors?  :glasses10:

Absolutely not. But after the weekend I should have # 8 finished and ready. And then my advices will be lot better. :toothy12:

I think I'd probably just go for a baritone tuning; I've never much cared for tic-tac bass, I'd really likely only try to play Cure songs, and you can accomplish that on a baritone, anyway...

Yeah, Corey, I'm starting to wonder if I wouldn't get as much/more utility out of a 7 string.
Hm.. 7 string Jazzmaster.... Hm....
