Thanks to some P.I.F. (Pay It Forward) gifts from Day-mun, I've got a bug to get rolling on my bass build project.
I'm calling it "Geezer's Bass Boat".
It will be comprised of the Red Pearl P-Bass Pickguard with a J Bass pickup cut in the neck position that Day-Mun gave me with some other goodies, as well as the bridge, all black hardware, maple neck/rosewood fingerboard, and a Warmoth Red Flake finish, like a Bâss boat.
I've contacted EMG, and they said that it would be no problem for them to make a Geezer Butler Signature set in a full on J bass configuration.
It will be set up like a five string, but sans the "G" string, tuned B, E, A, D.
It's basically a J Bass on a P Body, drilled for a 7/8" side jack, and I'll do the additional body route, pick guard cut for the 4th hole so that I can use EMG's BQC system HZ.
There's the concept, a bass that I can use for recording that will work with my A-440 material, as well as my 7 String & Baritone.
Here's a similar paint job some cat had done to a Squire P bass.

& some other visual representations to let you inside my head.
I won't be using any bridge cover's & such.
