Barn Door

Butcher, that is one of my 2 go to guitars
and Yes she has a sound
forget the classic tele sound and think snap crackle pop
set her on the neck pickup and she sings while you sit back and comp, fat but still having that single coil sound
Snap to the lead pickup and get down, Snap is the word, she lets loose with a good bit of twang, but also has the fatness to drive the blues into your soul. I can do Twangy major scale leads that drop mid riff into a minor scale and you think that is the way it ought to be played.
I have actually changed my style a good bit when I have her strapped on, she begs to be chicken picked and I use a lot of C&W influenced stuff, but not so Tele twangy as to think you are listening to a country player. I also have memorized 2 different new arpeggio studies up and down the neck just to do stuff on her that I do not do on other guitars.
I love her

As of right now I am building a more conventional 62 Tele Retro Build, She will be a lot more conventional, and I will probably pull her out a lot, but Barn Door is just to insane to every be in the background.

you need to look up the build thread in the work in progress department and see how much we all discussed the build, we just kept pushing the envelope. I love the wood burned in graphics and have people come up to the stage just to see if it is a solid body or actually different pieces of wood.

Hey Jim....I guess your idea is catching on... :icon_scratch:
