Hi! I've never done any mods with my guitars, for many years I play just ordinary guitars, but now I really need 24 fret neck. Sorry, might be a stupid question, but what should I choose - 24 extension or baritone neck? If 24 extension - neck PUp should be relocated, if baritone - I'm afraid the neck will be too long and I'm still going to play in standard tuning. Is it possible to use 28' neck with regular tuning? May be change the string gauge?  Forgot to say, I'm talking about tele. I ask for your indulgence  :dontknow:
Thank you.

If you're going to remain in A440, I would suggest against the baritone neck.  The difference in scale length is definitely noticed.
The 24 fret extention with the other options related to it would be advisable.

You can either string your regular gauge and tune down a whole step, or go down two string gauges if you want to stay in standard

Warmoth does make a 24-fret, 24.75" scale neck called the "Warhead." You can only find it in the neck builder. And it only fits their own special "7/8"-sized Telecaster and Stratocaster bodies, or a Mustang, Jaguar or Jagstang body without modification, though of course if you're willing to do your own bridge placement and possible have some pickup routing mover ($45 upcharge), you can stick anything anywhere.
