Are these worth investing in.

The Dunlops have been on all my guitars for years now.  They have worked flawlessly.  The ONLY complaint I have with them is how difficult it can be sometimes attaching the strap piece . . . but it always DOES attach eventually.  I am NOT a stationary player and I put my guitars through all kinds of motion during performances, and these strap locks definitely put my mind at ease doing so.  :party07:

For normal strap buttons, Schallers.
For end pin jacks, these

They work exceptionally well

I use the normal type of strap buttons that came with my guitar, however I never take the strap off, so it's snug as a bug.

I think we are seeing a concensus...schallers awesome...dunlops///not so much.  I am not bashing...just speaking on experience.  MY schallers have NEVER come of or became loose.  The dunlops are hard to operate and come loose all the time.

BTW...PROLINE strap locks are IDENTICAL to the schallers...at about a $5 savings.  The look and operate EXACTLY the same and parts can even be interchanged...(I used a PROLINE stap on a Schaller installed guitar)

++ on the Schallers.  I use them on most of my guitars.  That said, I use the Ernie Ball variety on my MusicMan guitar and I have to say they are pretty nice, as well.

Hey! What does anybody want to bet that Schaller had a patented design, but their patent just expired.... takin' it on the noggin lately, it seems. :blob7:

'Sorry, but Dunlops are awesome. The proof is in the 20 years that I have had several guitars equipped with them, and not one problem -- not ONE.  How is that NOT awesome? On what planet?

well basicall it doesn't mean that dunlops aren't awesome to some extent but schallers are awsomer!
