Hi all, my first post though Im a long time reader of the forum. I used to own a megazone, it was the only one that came into the UK.
I have included a pic of me playing it, it was 1981 and I was 21 years old, please lets not get into any discussions about the 'clothing fashions'

thats just how it was back then!
I paid £400 for that Megazone. Purchased from Rose Morris music shop in Denmark street.
It was an Ash body as I recall with a maple neck/ rosewood fingerboard, the neck was lefty strat mounted for a right hand and 'trimmed down'
The pickup was mightymite super distortion and there was this little pre-amp mounted into the back behind a small plate that was switchable, that really kicked the output up to the point were I recall it was almost uncontrollable in terms of feedback when playing it live.
The bridge was a fender strat tremolo and was difficult to stay in tune but I remember having a lot of fun with it.
Sad end insofar as I cannot remember exactly what I did with it. This was around the time Eddie was coming a big deal and everyone wanted to be him, including me, so I ditched the megazone and got a charvel Strat.
Its a shame because with so few in existence Im sure it would be worth some decent money now even for curiosity value.
