Yo! I'm looking for a guitar tech to do a professional setup for me when my parts finally get here. Any recommendations? I'm also looking at having a simple custom inlay done at the 12th fret. Let me know if you can help! Thanks!

I haven't worked with him (but I will shortly! Any year now!  :laughing7:) but Cagey did top shelf work on  Bagmans "Quty Pie" telecaster. And judging by how much Bagman likes Quty Pie, I'd say you should talk to Cagey and see if he's willing. You'd have to ship it to him, but it would be worth it. He quoted me a VERY reasonable price for full assembly, fretwork, setup. ...note that he's not in Colorado, but he's the recommendation I'll give based on testimonials.

I write here to ratify Tipperman's assertions.

Cagey does top-notch work.  The wiring work on my guitar is like, OCD-level tidy.  And it's set up perfectly.

Not to mention, anyone who doesn't/won't cut the leads is your friend, should a problem arise with pickups. You should look through the pictures in Bagmans post to find the image of the control cavity.

Thanks a bunch for the tips, guys.  :icon_thumright:

I've read that Cagey does incredible work in quite a few other posts, and it's apparent from own  posts that the dude knows his way around a gee-tar.

I'm really pretty set on working locally, though. I remembered that I had a great experience with a local tech a few years ago and discovered that I still had his phone number saved. I gave him a call this afternoon, and we've got an appointment set up for tomorrow morning. He does great work, is really affordable, and apparently (I didn't know this until I spoke with him today) that he actually builds electrics from scratch. In other words, I feel totally confident in his ability to get my baby singing like she should!

Thanks again for everyone's help! This site makes the build process so much easier  :occasion14:
