I'm trying to relearn in parallel fourths once more, and this guitar is at one of the top 3 or 4 links you'll find on any P4 related search:

If you're asking what WAS it I dunno. I'm not crazy about the 'inpaint' (I think it runs contrary to the purpose of parallel fourths). I can't tell from this picture, but this guy has done to this guitar (IIRC) a split nut - the guitar is tuned EADGCF, except that there's a 1 fret reduction (or extension depending on how you view it) between the top two strings and the bottom four, to give open B,E options but maintain the parallel fourths tuning.

But the jack is kinda cool.

Scotty Anderson is the absolute master of the harmony playing stuff - fire the other guitarist!

Here's how he does it (poke through them all  - 3, 4,5 6 - for skipping string etc.):

Look at the size of the frets on that baby! Scotty's CD "Triple Stop" is required for anybody who knows who Danny Gatton and Redd Volkaert are.

(I have to add, it was while I was working really hard on this stuff that I developed a preference for a STRAIGHT fingerboard - there are many instances where you want to barre two or even three strings with your little finger, and up high the flatter fingerboard is a hindrance to this. My last board was a straight 12" and I may even go to a straight 10" for the next one.)

Scary stuff ...
