Okay, so this is for fun.

Go to the Warmoth site and find a neck or body you wish Santa (or whoever drops presents down your chimney this time of year) would bring you. I'll start with this gorgeous piece. It would be a perfect match for the baritone neck I got earlier this year. I could put matching baritone and standard telecasters on the wall!

Edit: the neck would be a 6 string neck rather than the 5 string one I linked earlier. I did not see a 6 string in stock so sort of like this but I would go Wenge and Ebony instead.

Yeah, I just feel like I'd enjoy a Gecko. No idea how it actually plays but the descriptions alone just seem to fit my aesthetic.

Neither is in the showcase. But I've been thinking about either 1) a black star (but the lack of symmetric arrowhead kinda blocks that build) or 2) A swamp ash tobacco sunburst Z with a pickguard designed to make it look like something Fender might have actually come up with in the 50's.

The Star is because why not. And Bob Hartman's Dove Awards guitar appears to be his first Ken Hoover build. (I have a strat from the same era, ESP parts)

The Z is because I think Nah the star is too impractical. Case, weight, pretentious, etc . The Z still looks rad but actually appears design with functional ergonomics in mind.

@NedRyerson with guitars I think we go for different things, but it seems with the Gecko our aesthetics converge.

Yeah, the Gecko is very reminiscent of my Conklin basses.

That's a pretty one. It's a shame the curl will be largely obliterated by pickup cavities (depending on your choices, of course).

i would,love for Xmas if the Big W made a V-R where both of the wings were the same as the short half. i guess that's also pretty much a V-K but shorter. anyway, it could them be made with 7/8 routs (and for the 7/8 neck, natch). would be amazing, but it doesn't have to be a holiday offering, they could do that whenever they want during the year.

What i truly want for Xmas (apart from affordable housing, Healthcare, and food) is finally getting space tourism off the ground (pun intended) in the proper way. space travel looks fun but it seems we were born too early for hourly flights to Mars and most of us too poor to buy a ticket for the current flights. Bezos wants a couple mil' (shorthand way to say a million $USD) just to send you to the lower edge of space, even if you have Amazon Prime. That’s not space travel, it’s just up-travel then down-travel. it’s like buying a roundtrip to china to see the great wall but the plane never lands and doesn’t get closer than thirty miles to the wall. You just catch a glimpse and head back. why bother, take me to Venus, bruh

I don't want anything because I need to finish my current project. Spray painted a DIY ready body black a week ago. Need to get around to applying tape then painting white for a '78 EVH style guitar (with roasted maple neck). Thought about buying the actual model but I think I'm too far gone to ever buy an off the rack guitar again.
